Mission Statement for the Classroom

I am looking forward to a great school year with the 4th grade students! My goal is to make students excited about learning while aiming to do their best!

 

CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR POLICY

  • Respect Others - Show the same courtesy to others as you would want shown to you.
  • Help Others - All students are expected to work with others in multiple classroom settings.
  • Follow Directions - All directions and procedures will be clearly written and/or explained to you. Before you ask me to explain the instructions or procedures again make sure you have read through them carefully.
  • Be Prepared - Have all school supplies (paper, PENCIL, notebook, textbook) readily available when you come to class.
  • Stay On Task – Students are expected to stay on task in 4th grade.

 

DISCIPLINE POLICY - all students are given a warning before given a point -

  • First Violation = 5 Minutes off Recess and -5 participation points
  • Second Violation = 10 minutes off Recess and -10 participation points
  • Third Violation = Call Home and loss of Recess and -15 participation points
  • Fourth Violation = Loss of recess and -20 participation points
  • Fifth Violation = Office Referral and -25 participation points

Homework Policy

Homework will be assigned on a daily basis. No credit will be given for any Math homework done in pen. Students must show work for credit. Missing or incomplete homework assignments must be handed in by the next day (or an additional point will be taken off). For every 2 homework assignments missing, or late, 1 point will be taken off of marking period grade.

Meet Your Teacher

This year is my fourth year teaching elementary school in the West Milford Public Schools. I have a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Interpersonal Communications from William Paterson University. I am currently working on earning my Master's degree in Educational Technology at Ramapo University. I have two dogs a black lab mix, named Sox, and a sheperd mix, named Coco.
